Crossroads remains a deeply personal album for me. In one sense it parallels the twists and turns of my forays into old time music, while at the same time representing a kind of musical and personal turning point. Over the past few years, my life has taken an unexpected path and I now stand a better person for it, though it has certainly not been without personal obstacles to face and overcome. Many tunes kindle memories and experiences over the past twenty years. Others have become new favorites. I have put much of myself into this album both with my selection of and approach to these tunes.

All tunes are in standard tuning (GDAE) except for: New Five Cents, Big Fancy, and Christmas Eve (ADAE); Pretty Little Ward Jarvis Tune, Cruel Master, and Farewell Whiskey (AEAE); Bonaparte's Retreat (DDAD); and Ladies Fancy (EDAE).
